About Nora

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a strong player who strives to get a kill every ball I get. I am aggressive and scrappy not only in front row, but back row as well. I would consider myself a utility player also. I started playing volleyball as a middle, but switched to setting. I set for 3 years and my freshman season I had been setting front row which gave me my love for hitting. I am now a right side/ds.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a strong mentality. I want to swing at every ball I get the chance to hit on. I can shake off a mistake easily, and even when I do make a mistake it makes me strive for the next ball even more. I am a loud player who always tries to keep my team up when they need it.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am not currently involved in anything other than volleyball, but in the past I have earned awards in school for academics, personality, and attendance.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

A skill that I have developed is leadership. I can lead the court and tell others where to put the ball, and where they should be. I know all of the rotations and I catch on quick when a spot on the court is open.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, to start, I have gone through a lot of injuries that have effected my mindset and how I view myself. Along with this, I did not have a great club experience during my 14u season. I had a lot of ups and downs which made me not only stronger mentally, but physically on the court.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a high-level school who offers the major I am hoping to go into, which is physiology.
