Mitteness is an excellent attacker at the net, running multiple routes and engaging in different shots to make the defense work for it. She does not slow down during the long rallies and can be counted on to finish the play. Her high swing makes it easy for her to work over or around the blockers in front of her. Mitteness can easily place the ball in all areas of the court and uses this to her advantage in times of chaos. She reads the opposing setter well to get her block in front of her hitter. Her strong hands create many stops on the ball or channel the hitter to go straight to the defense.
