About Olivia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

5 seasons as libero (3 club; 2 school). Focused on court awareness, positioning, strong technique, ultimate selfless service on the court delivering the ball to the correct location, emphasis on serve receiving and out of system setting.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Outgoing, friendly, team oriented, hard working, focused in the court

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Indiana REACH program for school and also a youth church group.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Was team captain last year. I’m focused on team camaraderie and relationship building. Intense focus during practices and games to help the team reach the next level.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Volleyball is a constant work in progress. I focus on improving all related skills on the court and work on strength, conditioning, speed and agility off the court. I also have a strong academic background where as a freshman I will be enrolling in sophomore and junior AP classes and curriculum. I try my best to bring that intelligence to the court.

In fact, she got better as the day went on, which was clearly on display by the time we got to full team play at the end of the showcase. Her read-and-react was above average, her contact point was accurate, and she has a calm platform to make sure her passing has a consistent finish.
