Olivia debuted in our class of 2029 rankings in the top 50. Not many players debut that high. At 5’11” she set a 6/2 in the tournament I watched remaining on the right side to hit. She does not have the power of a

but she still can be a force on the right side. Even if setting a 5/1 she showed an ability to dump the ball jumping high over the net.
Last year she made the Yorktown varsity as a frosh. On the roster she is listed as a right side. The varsity already carried three setters, however two of them graduated. Expect her to fill a setting role next year.
Her game also delivers a pretty good serve with the potential to generate points in bunches.

It is not common for a new player to rise into the top 50 rankings. Olivia stands out as an exception to that rule.
At 5’11” she brings good height to the setting position. The ball flicks off her hands smoothly with some pretty good accuracy for a class of 2029. The pass can move her close to the left side hitter but she still carries the ability to direct the back set to the right side hitter with little effort.
Olivia sets in a 6/2, remaining in the front row to hit right side. She showed an ability to power the ball when taking a swing as well as putting her hands over the net when forming a block. What really impressed was a setter dump while she played front row and the back row setter dug a ball close to the net.
In addition to her setting her serve can also stand out as a weapon. She delivers it with excellent velocity. Last year she made the frosh team at Yorktown as an opposite. At the start of the season she lists at 5/9″. However, her Sports Recruit height shows her at 5’11”, a height she more closely fits when I watched her on the court.
For club she plays for MOJO. Their next big tournament will be the East Coast championships in Pittsburgh in late May to prepare for the AAUs in Orlando.

At 5’11” Olivia brings good height for a setter. The ball also comes out smooth and effortless from her hands. She can be near the left side position and flick a back set with ease. I didn’t see a lot of jump setting but perhaps she does not see a need running a 6’2″. She did make a smooth left handed dump when in the front row while it appeared she was going to set. Not a lot of quick tempo sets but she did execute a perfectly timed shoot set to her middle that elicited a huge celebration.
From the right side she puts some pretty good velocity on the ball when hitting. She also went far over the net to block a ball. Olivia certainly exhibits a promising future as a setter, whether it entails running a 5/1 or 6/2. There is also good zip on the ball with her serve. She has all the tools but they just need further refinement to rise to the elite level.
