What I appreciate most is that her power begins with her footwork. She stays connected through her approach, transfers her momentum efficiently into her swing, and creates clean, explosive contact. Attackers who consistently generate that kind of body control become difficult to defend because they don’t rely solely on strength. They rely on sound mechanics that translate from rally to rally.

Standing at 6’1″, Lavin brought physicality and presence to the pin with a long, powerful reach that made life difficult for blockers and defenders alike. Her length allowed her to contact high above the net, creating sharp angles and heavy balls that were hard to read. She showed promising blocking instincts, getting her hands over the net and closing space effectively. What to expect this club season: a dominant physical outside who will continue to refine her timing and become a serious two-way threat with strong blocking and increasing offensive efficiency.

Orna Lavin Orna Lavin 6'1" | OH/RS Marlborough School | 2029 CA brings strong communication and leadership from the outside. “I love how many friends I’ve made playing volleyball. They are all so supportive and are great teammates,” she said. When energy dips, Orna steps up and works to get her team back in rhythm. She believes clear communication is key to turning a match around and takes pride in being that steady voice on the court.

She’s currently focused on improving her approach and tracking the ball more effectively to make consistent reads. Off the court, Orna channels her cultural pride into running an Irish Club at school and recently hosted a popular Irish dancing meeting. Whether she’s reading, swimming, or building resilience, Orna is focused on growing her game and strengthening her mindset.
