About Peyton

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My name is Peyton Baron, a 2029 DS/Libero in Washington. My game is defined by my aggressive defensive range and ability to read and adjust to hitters, as well as setting up my hitters for success during out of system plays. I strive to be a player who not only performs to the best of my ability, but also supports and motivates my teammates.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I approach each game and each practice with the intention of growing as a player and as a person. From the moment I step onto the court, it becomes more than just a game; it’s a place where I challenge myself, push my limits, and strive to embody the best version of myself for the benefit of my team. I know that mistakes are part of the game so I focus on learning from each error and moving on.

Baron is well-trained; the 2029 libero prospect for Excel NW has the skills to make it happen in serve receive, defense, and as an accurate setter when she takes the second ball. The Ridgefield freshman stays low and works her platform early and away from her body when she is in serve receive- her recognition and foot speed help her handle challenging short serves. Baron can deliver hittable balls from her platform to both pins with confidence, from a distance, and either toward or away from the pin she is facing.
