, a Class of 2027 middle blocker and right side from Westwood High School in Austin and
Austin Skyline Juniors
Volleyball Club, plays the front row with a versatility and competitive presence that makes her more valuable than a one-dimensional prospect at either position alone. Standing at 6’2″, the contact point she creates above the net when she is running the middle game is difficult for blockers to fully account for, and she has developed the timing and approach mechanics to take advantage of that physical reality on a consistent basis rather than only in favorable sets. Her shot selection has matured and she reads the block before committing to an angle rather than swinging into the same spot repeatedly, which is the clearest indicator that the volleyball IQ is running at a high level behind the physical tools. On the right side she attacks with the same intent and confidence, and the fact that she does not experience a noticeable drop in effectiveness when the set moves across the court tells you the two-position development has been genuine rather than a roster necessity. Piper is a 6’2″ dual-threat front row prospect who gives college programs real options in how they use her, and that flexibility alone makes her worth a serious look. Please help us congratulate her on earning a spot in our Official Watch List.

Piper is a middle blocker who brings presence and energy to the center of the court. I like her movement along the net and her ability to close blocks effectively. She continues to improve her offensive timing and connection with setters. As she gains more experience, her physical tools and instincts give her the potential to be a consistent middle contributor.

Evans and her AP 16 Adidas team ranked third in the event, getting two wins and two losses. She played with great intensity in the middle and provided her team with a very strong presence at the net, contributing offensively and defensively. Evans was very difficult to stop on offense because of how well she used her reach and firepower to swing – she was extremely successful when hitting the slide set. The middle was very active with the blocking, displaying great mobility to get to the pins.
