About Reese

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I try to anticipate and read the ball as much as I can. I may not be the flashiest person on the court, but I try to be the most consistent. And have fun!

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I strive to help my teammates whenever I can. Especially when I notice them being hard on themselves. I try to bring a calming energy to the court.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’ve made honor roll this past November for our Trimester 1. I also have recieved our school’s “Teamplayer” award for being a team playing in the classroom and on the court.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve become more confident in my ability to lead this year and have been selected as a captain for me team. I try to be someone they can rely on, while also cheering them on.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

After two season of playing right side, I took the leap to start training as a setter this past summer. It’s been a fun challenge and I’m so glad I did. I love setting and growing as a leader for my team.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m still trying to figure that out, but I love volleyball and would love to continue playing after high school.

Reese proved to be an underrated and highly effective setter with advanced decision making. She consistently put her hitters in strong scoring positions, showing clean hands and the confidence to run her middle in system. Her awareness of the opposing block allowed her to find seams and create advantages throughout the session.

Reese shared that her ability to read the other side of the court helps her create openings for her hitters. After playing outside hitter during high school season, she has been focused on refining her hands, accuracy, and tempo through increased setting reps. Her calm control, adaptability, and court vision made her a standout Top Performer.
