Sammie embraced her role as a situational game-changer, coming off the bench in high-pressure moments and delivering when her team needed it most. She recorded key aces and strong serve receive passes in tight sets, approaching her role with the mindset that impact isn’t defined by minutes played, but by readiness and execution. Looking ahead, she’s focused on improving her ability to read the game, recognizing setter dumps, tips, and serve patterns to elevate her defensive awareness. Off the court, Sammie recently earned a 4.0 GPA in her first semester of high school, reflecting the same discipline she brings to the court.

Her team, Omni 14 National, leaned into extra positional training, film study, and accountability as part of their build-up. “We didn’t rise to the occasion, we fell back on our training,” she said. That consistency carried them all the way to the Freedom Division final. One of her most meaningful moments came when an opposing player told her, “You played so well.” For Sammie, that kind of respect validated the work she’s put in. “Coming up one match short only makes me hungrier for more.”

Sammie credits much of her growth to her support system: “I wouldn’t have been able to do this without my coaches. Coach Devin Elmore believed in us from day one and gave me the best advice to help me improve. Coach Hannah Platt was always there to support me and guided us with her experience as a collegiate athlete. And I’ll forever be grateful for my teammates, we truly brought out the best in each other.”

What she loves most about volleyball is how it pushes her mentally, and how it challenges her to show up as a better version of herself, both on and off the court. She’s a natural leader with a gift for lifting up her teammates and setting the tone in high-pressure situations.

Sammie’s current focus is speeding up her reaction time and improving how she reads hitters to elevate her team’s ability to transition. Sammie’s favorite memory came during school season, when she led her team to a playoff upset over a squad stacked with club talent. She’s a 4.0 student with dreams of getting into real estate after college, and when she’s not balling out, you’ll find her lakeside with her family and her dog. Her freshman goal? Make varsity, lead by example, and leave no doubt she belongs on that court.
