The Tigers’ stat-stuffing setter/outside hitter led Republic to a sweep over Lebanon while recording her second triple-double of the season. Finley finished with 20 kills on .432 shooting, 17 digs, and 13 assists. She is also nearing significant career milestones in all three statistical categories.

Republic got a big all-around performance from Finley in a victory, and we’re skipping past the dub-dub and going straight to the trip-dub. The senior finished with 11 kills, 13 digs, and 10 assists to record the triple-double. She found ways to contribute in every phase of the game, making an impact offensively while also handling her responsibilities in the back row. That’s the type of stat line that shows just how much she brings to the floor.

Finley is back for one final run in a Republic uniform. She played just 79 sets last season but still racked up 227 kills, with both numbers slightly down from her junior campaign. She’ll enter her senior season chasing the 1,000-kill milestone, needing just under 400 kills to reach the mark. It’s an ambitious goal, but certainly within reach if she can stay healthy and see her usual workload.

I liked what I saw from Finley on the pin at the showcase. She has what I like to call a heavy arm and can power through a block. Her shot selection and vision were also above average as she understands as a pin her main job is to find the floor with the ball and she did that often. She’s still young so I expect her blocking to get stronger.
