Here is an athlete from another program, it’s difficult for me to write about. Old biases, grudges, and rivalries run deep. The Trojans have an outstanding defensive athlete in Heinrich. She has quick feet and makes solid passes. She has attended Prep Dig Showcases in the past and impressed scouts at those events. I guess, I should grow up and get over my past feelings about SES since I have a nephew and niece in the school district now. Plus, I hear Heinrich is running buddies with some of my favorite athletes from Beloit, so she has that going for her.

Another defender I thought produced a good outing is Heinrich. She was one of the smallest players in the gym but displayed a lot of heart and grit. Like other defenders mentioned, she stood in front of some heat and still got the ball to the setter in a good position to make plays. Her handling of second balls, I thought, was a highlight as she dished some solid balls for attackers to get good swings from. Heinrich can also be a weapon behind the service line with her aggressive serve that drops right as it approaches the passer.
