The 16-1 Showtime lineup has been one of the club’s best, with Asmann generating plenty of heat on either side of the setter. KNVBC has used this Derby standout as an opposite-middle hybrid throughout 2026, particularly during the team’s visit to the ASICS Presidents’ Day Classic. A couple of more seasons with similar numbers to the ones Asmann recorded as a sophomore, 216 digs and 283 kills would put her name up there with other great “Derby Winners” Secretariat and Seattle Slew. Asmann is ranked No. 31 overall and was recently featured as one of the top Stock Risers in the Kansas Class of 2028.

Asmann made a meteoric rise up the rankings by posting eye-popping sophomore stats and by guaranteeing she would get noticed by recently reaching out to Prep Dig. Prep Kansas still has just one scout in the state, so it’s a challenge to provide athletes from the Wichita area, smaller schools, and Western Kansas schools with the recognition they deserve. I have to give Derby credit. The school is known for its football and girls’ basketball programs, but since they share their team stats on public platforms, it helps the Panther athletes get noticed. Asmann’s chunky sophomore stat line included a team-high 283 kills along with 216 digs, 110 assists, 52 blocks, and 45 aces.

Asmann reached out via email in November. She shared her stats and reminded me that she had attended a club event I scouted last season. Both are solid reasons to reach out to me, especially when I did not make it to the Wichita area this past fall and missed watching the Panthers play. Her sophomore season stat line included 286 kills, 216 digs, 52 blocks, and 45 aces. She will be playing for the Showtime 16-1 team that is under the Kansas Networks Volleyball Club umbrella. Asmann is ranked No. 200 overall in the Class of 2028.
