A non-negotiable for Liberos is having a presence. Reese Newton Reese Newton 5'2" | DS/L Palatine (Fremd) | 2029 IL of Sky High 15 Elite made her presence known.  She brings energy to the court with how she moves, her voice, and how she interacts with her team. Being court side I could hear her calling out what was open to her attackers. She was really good when it came to picking up the awkward free balls or second contacts to her pins. She can be depended upon to handle a high volume in serve receive as well as take pace off the ball keeping her side in system. 

This was the 1st time for me seeing her play with her club and not at a Prep Dig Showcase or online and she DID NOT DISAPPOINT. She moved so well around the court making digs, saves, keeping points alive. She has really good footwork, light on her feet going forward or backwards etc. Made some huge digs in her matchup against her own clubs 16 Elite team who won the tournament. She plays on Sky High s 15 Elite squad who were very impressive holding their own at times with the 16 elite squad. She is confident, energetic, feisty and just what you want out of that libero jersey. Funt to watch!

Reese is a DS/L a “little” as some would say but she plays big. Believe she played Varsity as a freshman this year and I can see why. She stays ready, and reacts very well. Always seems to take the right angle to the ball. Competed very well at the Exposure tour, good passer, good mechanics, and is really scrappy on defense. She keeps plays and points alive. Seems to have a really good nose on where the ball is going and delivers passes right to the setter.
