Mike Bryant | Prep Dig Scout
The 6’3 Kinnell has had a nice prep career thus far for her high school team, in the sand, and with AVC during the club portion. Announcing her commitment to George Mason earlier this club season, Kinnell will take with her a big arm that can score at a high touch point as well as good awareness and I.Q. as a pin hitter. Earning 670 over her first three seasons with Nordonia, she helped lead her AVC 17 Red team to a 7-3 record and top-20 finish in 17 Open at the recent AAU national championships.

The George Mason commit has continued to raise her stock over recent seasons and has found herself as a key asset to her AVC 17 Red team this club season after making the move from a different club last season. The 6’3 left side attacker is a handful for defenses given her length and touch point. Additionally, she has increasingly improved her range to be able to terminate through the full scope of the court. She had her best high school season in 2024 for Nordonia as she earned 267 kills for a 3.0 k/s average, to improve her three-season career average to 2.7 k/s.

Kinnell, uncommitted, recently finished her second consecutive varsity season earning over 250 total kills for Nordonia. With 267 total kills, she averaged a career best 3.0 k/s. Her 6’3 frame on the left pin is a tough match up for many net defenders in front of her. She has good mechanics to get to the ball and contact high and with good movement in her swing location. You can find her competing with a very good AVC 17 Red team this club season.

At 13-5 overall, the Knights have a core trio of attackers that share the balance of offensive opportunities. Kinnell is one of those making a big impact at 3.0 k/s. At nearly 600 career kills, she is performing at a career best overall, which includes back-to-back efforts of 18 kills in their most recent two wins, both in five sets. Kinnell is 6’3 with great length at the net. She develops a big contact point by transitioning well off the net to create a deep runway in her approach pattern that develops momentum into a big swing.
