also become a reliable presence in serve receive for her GET team

I have primarily watched Simons play on the right side during club season and caught glimpses of her on the outside last high school season. However, it was fun to see her lighting it up from the outside while taking on a six rotation outside role this season. Simons has a powerful swing, does an excellent job finding the hard cross court angle, and transitions quickly on recycled balls to put herself in position for another attack. She is also a threat out of the back row, where she can terminate routinely. Beyond her offensive abilities, Simons has developed into a reliable presence in serve receive for her GET team, showing just how much her all around game continues to grow.

Simmons had a great day swinging from the pins and generating multiple kills to help her team battle their way through the brackets in gold. Simmons strengths and subsequent success come from her heavy, powerful arm swing. She was highly effective hitting hard shots through the seam and by going around the block to terminate down the line or deep cross. Simmons also showcased her defense skills. She put up a solid block and covered well in off blocker defense.
