Sam Steward Sam Steward 5'6" | S Spanish Springs | 2029 NV (Tstreet Sierra Nevada 15-1s) enjoyed one of her favorite moments of the weekend during a match against Club V, a contest fueled by high energy and strong support from the Tstreet community. Steward appreciated seeing players from other Tstreet teams come watch and cheer them on, creating an atmosphere that made the match even more memorable. When competition became difficult, she stayed motivated by remembering that it was the final tournament her team would play together. Steward stated,

Looking ahead, she is focused on improving two key areas of her game: defense and set location. As she continues to refine her ability to control the offense while contributing more defensively, Steward is positioning herself for continued growth heading into next season.

Sam is a patient, polished setter who pairs high volleyball IQ with a 4.0 GPA. She makes the position look easy, especially on back sets whether she is on the net or off. She consistently puts the ball in great locations for her attackers and, even when passes are off target, finds a way to better the ball and still run an effective offense.

Sam moves extremely well on the court and never hesitates to pursue second balls, no matter how tough the play. Her ball placement is consistently on point, and she commands the offense like a true quarterback. It’s hard to believe Sam is just a freshman. Her hands are clean, her tempo is sharp, and she ran the offense like a vet on the top court.
