About Savanna

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is a positive outlook but also having a competitive side as well. I want to be the best version of myself on and off the court. I'm support my teammate and coaches through positive words and encouragement.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My personality is very positive and straightforward. I have a great deal of empathy for other. I try to put other feeling first both on the court and off. I work really hard to not give up on my goals I put forward for myself in life. I would describe myself as very outgoing, willing to take constructive criticism and want to get better and I enjoy getting feedback.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Was on both A and B honor roll in high school.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I'm willing to work with others, I'm very organized in my school work and off the court schedule. I'm good communicator verbally with my teammates, teachers and friend. I'm like to problem solve I like to take a high analyzation of the situation and find effective solutions. I have good resilience and I remain focus with stress.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

In my early life I have faced different challenges such as moving around to many different schools when I was in elementary school. At the beginning this was hard and was nervous about making new friends at each location. But as I have support from my family and friends that helped me overcome these changes. Another challenge I have overcome has been my dyslexia and how I had to advocate for me

What type of college are you looking for?

When I look at colleges I want an opportunity to be able to know all my classmates this makes it feel more meaningful. I want opportunities to be able to be involved in activities outside of class. I want to be able to live in the dorms that are safe and the school supports my safety and learning. I also want a college that supports my learning style

Savanna impressed with her super natural platform and consistency in serve receive, giving her team a reliable first contact throughout the session. She read hitters well and played with great anticipation, which allowed her to get an early jump on plays. Her quickness and relentless effort stood out defensively, and she wasn’t afraid to stay aggressive. On top of her backcourt play, she also brought a killer serve that added pressure from the end line and made her an all-around asset.
