About Siena

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I excel in quick decision-making and precise ball placement, ensuring my hitters are set up for success. I utilize my 6'0" height and 7'8" standing reach, contributing as a blocker, attacker, and strategic playmaker. I am able to use my length to create an advantage at the net, delivering high, precise sets that are difficult for blockers to react to, especially in a fast-tempo offense.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am an extremely competitive person, have a high volleyball IQ and am mentally strong on the court. This allows me to make sharp decisive decisions under pressure. I consider myself a leader on the court, guiding teammates, keeping morale high, and maintaining focus. I also pride myself on my resilience, if I make an error, I bounce back quickly and keep my composure throughout the match.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am in the National Honors Society and currently have a 4.54 GPA. I founded the Bumblebee Club at Oaks Christian High School, which helps support pediatric cancer families. I have also been awarded the Head of School List in both 9th and 10th grades which is awarded to those students who demonstrate a strong academic record, leadership qualities, and significant extracurricular involvement.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My greatest challenge is balancing my tough academic workload and my commitment to becoming the best volleyball player possible. I have learned to become very organized and disciplined in trying to balance training with my club team, playing in tournaments, going to private training and strength training and also giving 100% focus to my academics.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college with both strong academics and athletics. I am hoping to find a college with a successful volleyball program, as well as a strong pre-med program so that I can begin my path to becoming an orthopedic surgeon.
