operates with a blend of creativity and control, showing an ability to manage an offense while still expanding it. Her focus on decision-making, tempo, and composure under pressure suggests a setter who is comfortable navigating different game speeds and adjusting in real time. That adaptability is shaped by her exposure to multiple styles of play.
“I will showcase decision making, good tempo, and composure when under pressure.”
Her response reflects a player who values growth and embraces challenge, with a mindset built around learning and adjustment. There is a clear understanding of how adaptability translates into consistency across different systems.
She has been working on becoming more unpredictable, incorporating setter dumps, tips, and creative connections with her middles. That added layer of deception allows her to influence blockers and create scoring windows earlier in the rally.
We are excited to welcome Miss Stevens to the SLC Showcase as she continues to build on her adaptability and creativity while competing in a high-level environment.

Her approach keeps offenses steady under pressure and allows hitters to stay confident across long rallies and transition plays. She is currently challenging herself to stay aggressive in every situation, regardless of ball quality or defensive chaos. This season, her focus is on running a consistent offense, maintaining steady energy, and elevating the people around her. Originally from Melbourne, Australia, she brings an adaptable mindset shaped by constant adjustment and competitive environments.

Stevens was one most impressive setters on the day (so much so that I didn’t get everything printed in my first article on her). She is a sensational lefty setter that has that wicked lefty serve that put pressure on her opponents right from the beginning. She also unloaded those careful disguised lefty setter dumps were not only effective but hard for defenses to read. She also knows how to run an offense and keep all of her attackers involved. Simply put, she is one of those setters that you want on the court as she can do it all.

Initially, I thought Stevens was a libero due to exceptional defensive skills, however, once I saw her take a turn in the setter position, it became quite clear she is a talented setter who just also knows how to play solid defense. Stevens stood out due to the fact that she jumps set with ease all while maintaining a consistent, well-paced tempo that keeps her hitters producing. She has excellent court awareness which also allowed her to execute perfectly placed setter dumps that caught her opponents off guard. Stevens is definitely the trifecta – she has the great combination of defensive skills, consistent face paced setting, and that high setter IQ that make her an exceptional leader to have on the court at all times.
