About Sophia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I love to be loud on the court and play with passion. I'm steady but very competitive when it comes to gameplay. Making sure to feed my setter perfect passes leading to big kills from my hitters giving us points.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I always walk into every practice or game with my head up high being ready to take down any challenges that face the other court. Being loud on the court making it easier for my hitters by taking more seam on serve receive. My personality I would say is very outgoing cheering for even the small things but being hyped for big rally's.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have been playing club volleyball since I was 10 years old. I played my first season in 12u and am now in my 4th club season in 15u. I played in middle school and brought my school to a one loss season in sixth grade. I am currently in 9th grade and I made the JV team as starting libero.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Some skills or qualities I think I have developed would be my teamwork, making sure my team huddles after every point and talking about things that are needed on the court. Helping my teammates with struggles and always asking my coach what we can all do as a team to fight for the next point.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that fits me as a person and player in all, no matter the division.
