Sophia came from New Jersey to attend this Prep Dig event. What stood out about Sophia was her lefthanded swing when she played right side. As a setter that is a nice attribute to possess. At 5’8″ she put some balls down.
Sophia is only a sophomore. There exist oodles of time for her to improve on her setting mechanics and consistency in location. Ideally, if she can improve on her approach jump that falls just under 9″ she could become an impact hitter on the right side. A setter who possesses both setting and hitting skills is rare.
