Perseverance: unexpected changes to my security of continuing to play volleyball has created circumstances I had to overcome. Team leadership: 3 year starting goalie in lacrosse has offered the opportunity to practice leading & communicating efficiently in high stress situations Mental fortitude: my mental strength coach has helped me hone the ability to refocus, reframed & repeat high performance

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have played a lot of positions in my club career, due to the variety of positions played I was short on appropriate film when the time came for recruiting. The club I was established with massively down-sized prior to my 17s season & I was left without a home without notice. I was fortunate to reestablish with another club but then had to re-prove myself & missed the premier recruiting window

Gonzaga Prep took home the Sundome Tournament title for large schools, and there was no shortage of players who stood out for the team from Spokane. Sophia Schwab Sophia Schwab Sophia Schwab 5'9" | S/RS Gonzaga Prep | 2026 State WA hammered the ball for crucial kills out of the middle and showed off her athleticism and versatility running routes on the right side as well. The senior has great hands; she sets during club; her play out of the middle will be an important part of the Bullpups’ chase for a state trophy.

Schwab has outstanding versatility- she is able to play the middle, the right side, and has excellent hands as a setter. Watching her work at the setter spot at the Summer Soiree- you can see her playing the position full time- and she might! However, she has a terrific natural arm swing, competes like crazy at the net and is a bouncy athlete, and will likely put up excellent numbers as a blocker and attacker for Gonzaga Prep this season. Schwab is a top notch lacrosse player as well- she will definitely have options moving forward.

A sophomore playing for Renovators 16, Schwab is quick off the floor and a talented multi-sport athlete who excels on the field during the Lacrosse season. The 2026 prospect from Gonzaga Prep is rapidly developing her game, converting her athleticism and easy arm swing into kills as she gains experience. Her timing as a blocker is excellent, she is able to see and anticipate hitters and use her quickness to shut down hitting angles.
