Mill Valley was a sure bet for this feature. The undefeated Jaguars have trotted out a veteran-laden lineup to pace the Class 6A field, and Sturdy is a vital piece of the 2028 crew. This Tulsa commit has always been an elite scorer on the pin, and she’s maintained the two kills per set she’s averaged since freshman year. But Mill Valley has also harnessed the setting prowess we’ve seen from Sturdy in her club travels with Dynasty . She’s dishing out a smooth offense from the back row and proving her Division I-worthiness at multiple positions. Sturdy and Mill Valley are the 6A frontrunners until proven otherwise.

This was an easy one. Sturdy, who has announced her pledge to Tulsa at the next level, brings the kind of command and leadership you’d expect from a Dynasty distributor. She has a compact, fluid jump set that freezes opposing middles after perfect passes. Sturdy can also fling the ball against the grain to give her pins attacking windows at the antenna. As if that’s not enough, Mill Valley has thrust Sturdy into an outside hitter role, getting over two kills per set from the all-around star. Anything to win.

We’re doubling up on the Mill Valley sophomores from Dynasty 16 Black. While Lynnes brought defensive stability, Sturdy was the rock-solid setter running the show. She has carried an outside hitter role during her fall tenure with the Jaguars, but she dons the setter cap for her title-contending club squad. Sturdy is a quick, snappy setter who isn’t afraid to dish against the flow. Her jump sets freeze opposing middle blockers, opening up one-on-one opportunities for her pins. Dynasty success usually operates through this position.
