Stratford’s leading scorer for the season had another strong performance in the last match of district play, standing out as the team’s main offensive weapon. Corbeil kept her efficiency rate stable during the entire match and was excellent at using her power and explosiveness to score points while also keeping her errors very low. She scored big points in important moments and remained a big piece of the Spartans’ play from start to finish. The outside hitter was clutch at the end of set one, having a long and productive serving run that helped her team recover from a slow start and take the set.

Stratford will look much different this season after a strong senior class graduated, but one constant from last year will be Corbeli swinging hard at the pin. The senior will likely be one of the focal points of the team’s offense and she’s displayed at both the high school and the club levels she’s up for the task. Corbeil has tremendous power in her swings, but is also very resourceful and intelligent with her shot selection, being very difficult for opposing blockers to play against. She’s also solid at passing and defense and helps the team as a true all-around player.

Katy United 17 Adidas dropped all their three matches in the day, but it wasn’t for a lack of effort or production from Corbeil. The explosive pin hitter was the team’s leading scorer during the day and didn’t shy away from the responsibility, putting the ball down consistently from the left, right and middle back positions. Corbeil had to work with out-of-system sets quite often, but used her power and length to face opposing blockers, frequently succeeding. Although her main contributions to the team happened at the net, she was also solid with her passing and worked really hard on defense.

In terms of offensive firepower and production, Corbeil was the only one to rival Maxwell. The Katy United 17 Adidas’ pin hitter was on fire and her setters wasted no time noticing that, turning to her every time they were in trouble. Corbeil didn’t back down and used her length and explosiveness to score points in difficult moments and carry the team’s offense. She was very effective from the left, the right and even the back and also took good care of her passing and defensive duties.

Corbeil was an offensive force for her Katy United 17 Adidas team. She was easily the team’s most-used player at the net and carried their offense throughout the day. Corbeil is not only tall and long, but also extremely explosive and is one of those players who are really exciting to watch on offense because of how much power they have. She’s also very confident in her game and won’t back down or take her foot off the gas even if a big block is standing in front of her. Corbeil also displayed some interesting offensive versatility, swinging from the left, right and the back.
