About Sophie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a setter! I love setting up the perfect play! I am quick and positive on the court! I love the game of volleyball and am a leader on the court! I am competitive and love working hard!

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am calm and collected on the court. I am a hard worker and try to keep my team focused while still having a good time. If we mess up, we learn from it and move on immediately. I love my team!

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a member of national honor society. I am the sophomore class secretary for student council for my high school. I play high school volleyball and run track and field in the spring when club volleyball allows. I am a straight A student and push myself in the classroom as well as on the volleyball court.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I do many community service events through high school student council. I also have participated in Ronald McDonald house charity events. I also help with three square meal non profit distributing food to those in need in Las Vegas.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My family moved during middle school and I had to make new friends for high school. It has been a great move for me personally to learn to get out of my comfort zone!

What type of college are you looking for?

I want to play volleyball in college! I want to play a sport I love while getting my elementary education degree!
