About Sydney

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm a middle who looks for the ball to be set at every point, regardless if it's for a fake out or for the kill. I learn to adapt myself on the next to the other teams styles/players.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm an individual who will put my all into the game, regardless of the outcome. I learn to bring my team together, so tactics can be learned from on and off the court.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I've developed teamwork and community through what I like to do to contribute to my own community, wether it be donating blood or helping with feeding homeless shelters, but with my team in the pong run, I've gained a sense of leadership that I hope to use for the off season and school season.

Sydney ended her senior year with a bang! She played a huge role in helping Rancho make it to the 4A state semifinals and had an absolutely dominant season on defense. Finishing with an impressive 156 blocks, she ranked second in the state and 42nd in the nation! Sydney has been a defensive powerhouse at the net all season. I saw her in person at the 9th Island Classic and witnessed the huge wall she puts up when her opponents are swinging. She does a great job at reading hitters and getting in a good position to deny their attacks. In her most recent match against Pinecrest Academy Cadence, she achieved an impressive 15 blocks in just three sets! She is on her way to securing a 100 block season. If you’re a coach in search of a middle blocker who truly excels at defense, Sydney should definitely be on your radar.
