Rob Howe | Prep Dig Scout
Evans has been rising up the Prep Dig rankings for good reason, as I found out when watching her perform for Select 16 Mizuno in the Open Division at the 2026 Nike President’s Day Classic. The Prince of Peace sophomore is coming off a prep season that saw her produce 145 kills (.151), 46.0 blocks and 119 digs in 72 sets. Evans possesses all of the tools needed for success in the middle of the net. She’s tall with long arms, can jump and moves well. Those traits lead to effective play against current competition and also give her a high ceiling with further development. It feels like Evans is just scratching the surface of what she can be, and that’s an exciting prospect for prospective colleges looking for help at the net.

It’s hard to miss the length and strength that Evans brings to the net. Physicality isn’t the only thing working in Evans’ favor, though, as the Prince of Peace Catholic sophomore also wields quick footwork and refined blocking technique at the net. Most of all, Evans was a lethal slide hitter when she worked through early positional drills in Des Moines. That translated to a dominant individual performance in team scrimmages as Evans prepares for the upcoming club season with Iowa Select.

During a difficult 2024 season for Prince of Peace, Evans showed the future can be a lot better for the Irish. The freshman contributed 82 kills, 37.0 blocks and 60 digs. She already looks the part. Now it’s a matter of reps and honing her skills. Evans competed well at the LOVB Midwest Recruiting Showcase in June, looking a breakout player for the upcoming prep season. Not many teams in the Tri-Rivers Conference will match up with her well. Evans has a good feel in the middle, putting away quick sets and slides with power. Her block challenges opponents to make uncomfortable decisions
