About Taylor

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I have a strong court awareness and adapt to different offensive and defensive sets. This allows me to disrupt attacking plays and be a more effective blocker. I use my awareness to find weaknesses in the defensive and exploit the spots they leave vulnerable. I accept coaching well and I always want to learn new things that allow me to become a better overall player.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a big fan of seeing my teammates succeed. I want to do everything I can to help my team play better while improving myself as well. I am willing to make sacrifices that allow me to put in the extra time to become a better player. I expect a lot of myself and hold myself to a high standard.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have received an academic letter the first two years of my high school career for achieving a 3.8 GPA. Academics and athletics require you to be disciplined and focused for success.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

While participating in high school and club volleyball I have been involved in numerous community service projects. This allows me to help serve my community and spend time with a younger generation of students in my school district and volleyball players within the city of Sioux Falls. Being a MB demands that you develop a loud clear voice on the court to move your team into a position to succeed

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have suffered a few injuries in career that required me to miss practice and games. Not being able to be on the court with my team or help them on the court in a game was difficult. Even though I could not physically help them I would show support by being on the bench to show my presence.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am undecided what profession I would like to pursue at this stage. As I start to prepare for my Junior year of High School, I believe I want to focus on Forensics and Forensics Science.
