About Tenley

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I consider myself a very versatile and flexible player. I have spent most of my time playing outside and middle hitter but have been able to flex to the right side when needed. I also consider myself a reliable back row receiver and server. I even was a setter during my junior high years. I am aggressive in my hitting and blocking and never give up.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a hard worker and determined. I strive to be a team player and encouraging of my team. I know just how important the mental aspects of this game are and know that it takes all six players on the court to win.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a member of the high school band and a member of the golf team. I have participated in the Northwest MDBA Honor Band multiple years. I am also a member of the yearbook committee and the Renaissance team which is focused on boosting school culture and climate.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Communication has been my #1 skill growth in volleyball. I feel the game has helped me learn how to communicate fully with my coaches and teammates. I am able to share my thoughts and feelings with them which creates trust.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college with a strong animal science or biology program that has a tight-knit community feel.
