About Teodora
Expert Analysis
Bob Abels | Prep Dig Scout
Teodora played middle for Bishop O’Connell, leading the Knights to their first state championship since 2016. She finished the championship match against Flint Hill with 12 kills and six blocks. Most of that activity occurred in the fourth and fith match when the Knights were down two sets to one. Overall, she finished second on the team in blocks and third in kills.
Playing for Metro her blocking seems to have improved. She has been more aggressive at getting to the pins with her hands penetrating over the net to close up any window. Her approach jump reaches 10’3″. With a quick wrist snap she can put the ball to the floor quickly but still needs to improve on either using the block or avoiding it.

as the next two in line from the class of 2026 who have yet to commit.
Listed at 6’3″ Tea can hit the ball harder than most middles. She brings a quick wrist snap that puts some extra velocity on the ball. Tea also brings quickness and athleticism to the position. She does need to work on getting her hands over the net when blocking. While her kill numbers went up significantly in her junior year, her block numbers decreased.
O’Connell did win both the WCAC and the VISAA state championship for the first time in school history. Tea finished with six blocks and 12 kills in the state championship match against Flint Hill. Most of that production occurred in the last two sets that O’Connell needed to win.

Last year Teodora put together 65 blocks, averaging nearly two blocks per match. For the year the Knights put together 318 blocks. For whatever reason those numbers were down this season to 34 blocks or 1.2 per match. As a team they completed only 106 blocks.

and Teodora completed six blocks each. As a team they completed a season high 16 blocks. The Knights had a much taller front row last year with four players listed at 6’3″ and seven players over 6 feet. With a smaller front line this year perhaps opposing hitters found other places to hit to avoid the middle.
Whatever the reason, Teodora came up big in the final with six blocks and 12 kills, many of them coming at critical times to change the momentum in the match. A big time player who came up big in an important match.
