About Teuila

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I work hard to be a solid setter that is consistent in her game plan. I am a mindful setter and OPP, as I look for openings to set my hitters, swing aggressively to open spots, and especially dump at efficient times and moments in the game. In any situation, I am a dependable pin hitter, setter, and passer who works hard against a variety of players.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is strong and adaptable. "Hard Work Beats Talent, when talent does not work Hard" is one of my favorite quotes that I truly believe aligns with my mentality and personality as a player. I work hard in any situation and moment to make the best possible decisions at the right time and moment. I come onto the court wanting to make a difference each time I step on in any situation.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

DECA, ASB, LOC, AAPI, NHS, and Sophomore Ambassadors.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am an accountable player, resilient, responsible, and especially Decisive. As a setter, I have developed my ability to make difficult decisions under pressure and especially adapt to that situation. I've experienced being a captain for 3 years of my volleyball career. I know what it takes to show up and put in the work for this sport I love.

What type of college are you looking for?

The colleges I seek out are the ones that have a strong community, form strong connections between students and teachers, medical programs, and volleyball programs, and create a well-rounded environment. I especially look for a college that has a presence for college students to come and feel welcomed.
