This one is tricky because when you watch their team you immediately see the OH D1 commit and you get distracted. However, you’ll find that these big commits aren’t doing things alone and without a great setter, you’re going to be hard pressed to show off what makes you really sing. Teuila is great setting. Her roster height is 5’9, and although she may look a little smaller in person, that doesn’t hold her back. Generally when I see a smaller tiered setter running a 5-1 it’s like there’s a necessity there. She’s one of the few I’ve seen that can run every aspect well. Her touch approach is nearly 10 feet which led to her getting up with good timing to get blocks. She had a few good kills playing as the OPP, her sets were good, on target and she showed a couple different tempos to the offense. She was a legit one that is probably not getting the love she deserves. One of the few all around setters that I feel really deserve the spot. As far as I know, currently uncommitted, and someone should probably remedy that as soon as possible.

Halalilo has been on a tear this club season for WVBA 17 Adidas. It’s been fun seeing the club at tournaments like the Pacific Northwest Qualifier, Power League, and Regionals- Halalilo is driving the bus as a setter and attacker from the right side. She plays big at 5’9″ with strong hands, great timing, and a quick arm. The Archbishop Murphy 2027 shines, dealing the ball from all over the court to her attackers, and her connection in the pipe with her dynamic attackers is fun to watch. A college program will be very happy to bring Halalilo onto the squad.

A dynamic setter with excellent all-around skills, Halalilo delivers assists, digs, aces, and kills every match. Her ability to run the offense and find her WVBA attackers in favorable match-ups is an outstanding part of her floor game. Halalilo and her team have had very solid showings at both the Las Vegas Classic and the Matt Hartner Memorial to start the season.

Halalilo has excellent hands, is strong, and quickly pushes the ball from pin to pin. The sophomore from Archbishop Murphy can also swing it. Her hands and athleticism make her a playmaker at setter in both the offensive and defensive game.

Halalilo checks in at#66 overall in the class of 2027, she showed her versatility for both WVBA and Archbishop Murphy last fall. The sophomore is explosive as a hitter, plays tough defense, and has great hands and feel from the setting spot.
