A starter for them since her freshman season, she’s become more and more important for the team, making a huge impact on their performance from the setter position. Since her first season, Welker-Brown has clearly shown she has the physical and technical tools to develop into an elite setter, and that has become even more evident as she added more experience to her play. A six-footer, she has great setting hands and is very intelligent with her decision-making, keeping the team’s offense in a good rhythm. She also contributes to their point-scoring efforts with her blocking and setter dumps, besides eventually taking up hitting duties.
