Freeman senior outside hitter Carley Remmers has been named to the PrepVolleyball.com Senior Aces list today – which ranks the top 100 senior players in the nation. Remmers, a 6-foot-1 Ohio University recruit, came in at #100.
Here is what the website had to say about Remmers:
“A strong outside hitter with a great build and a heavy arm, Remmers is a hard-working player who has excelled in multiple sports at the high school and club levels. Playing bigger than her height, Remmers amassed 363 kills in 2013 despite missing time with foot and appendix problems. She is an excellent passer and her great hands would make her a terrific setter if she wasn’t such a powerful and explosive hitter. Remmers also has a new and improved jump serve that should give opponents fits going forward. Remmers has committed to Ohio University and has a bright future as she transitions to play at the high end of Division 1 and focuses solely on volleyball. She is a Midwest kid who knows nothing more than she knows hard work.”
The PrepVolleyball.com Senior Aces list actually recognizes the top 250 seniors in the nation, but ranks only the top 100.
In 2013, Waverly’s Olivia Boender was ranked #56 in the list. Boender is redshirting this season at the University of Nebraska.
