KVBC Prevails as the U16 Crossfire Tournament Champion

Crossfire Volleyball recently held a U16 event at Bethel University. With 16 teams competing, 12 teams represented the North Country Region. Round one consisted of pool play with teams seeded across four pools. Three of the four teams advancing to the gold championship bracket were from the North Country with KVBC 15-1 winning the event with an undefeated 5-0 record on the day.
Competing against both U15 and u16 teams, KVBC swept through their first four matches without dropping a single set. They won their first match versus Hammerhead 15-White by set scores of 25-10, 25-11, followed by two more 2-0 victories against Northern Impact 15-3 (25-8, 25-6) and White Bear Lake 16-Black (25-14, 25-7). In their semifinal match, KVBC prevailed over MN Premier 16 Blue 25-18, 25-9. Their toughest opponent came in a very exciting final match in which they faced off against ClubRed 16Red from Wisconsin and representing the Badger Region. Set scores for the gold medal match were 15-25, 28-26, 15-10.
Roster members of the KVBC 15-1 team, located in the Kasson-Mantorville, MN area include the following:

- Class of 2022: Addy Bzoskie, Madelyn Converse, Cate Wanous, Mallory White, and Kayli Zelinske
Other North Country Region teams finished in the following order: MN Premier 16 Blue (3rd-T), MN Attack 16-3 (3rd-T), White Bear Lake 16 Black (5th), MN North 15-2 Navy (7th-T), MN North 15-2 White (7th-T), Vikings Volleyball 15-Red (9th), Hammerhead 15-Black (10th), Northern Impact 15-3 (11th-T), Northern Impact 15-2 (11th-T), Club Velocity 15-2 (13th), and Hammerhead 15-White (15th-T).
