Two multi-day Midwest region events took place last weekend in the Twin Cities and Omaha, NE showcasing some of the gains these talented sophomores have made over the past year. The following list highlights five athletes from the class of 2020 from the state of Minnesota.

A lot of tools combined with versatility and great competitiveness. Explosive. Elevates quickly and with good vision and a fast arm. Has all the shots and can terminate with power and range. Six rotation outside hitter that can beat you from multiple spots on the floor. 2017 Hiawatha Valley All-Conference selection. Helped lead SMV 17-1 to 3rd place in 17/18 Gold division at the 2018 Big City Luau.

Good court awareness and composure from the libero position. Athletic with length and patience allows for her to make plays with good range in serve receive and defense. Team recently finished 9th overall in the 15/16 Gold division at the 2018 Big City Luau.

Great court presence and control of her team offensively. Good balance and composure. Nice touch on the ball and can distribute well pin to pin. Good movement and elevation at the net. 2017 Metro East All-Conference Selection. Recently led Kokoro 16-1 to an undefeated record and gold championship in the 15/16 Gold division as the 2018 Big City Luau.

Versatile, with good length that allows her to contribute in many ways, on either pin, in the middle, and from the back row. High contact point and hang time creates challenges for opponents. Helped lead Kasson-Mantorville HS to the 2017 Minnesota class AA state championships. 2017 Hiawatha Valley All-Conference Honorable Mention. SMV 17-1 team recently finished 3rd in the 17/18 Gold division at the 2018 Big City Luau.
