Northern Lights Qualifier: Recap of The Top 5 Clubs

The first weekend of competition at the Mizuno Northern Lights Qualifier has concluded. With just the 13's, 14's, and 15's divisions, players were excited, young, and determined to do their best. While the competition proved to be intense, there were 5 clubs that dominated across the divisions and a few Minnesota clubs made their way to the top. Rockwood Thunder from Eureka, Missouri had five teams that placed in the top 5: 15 Open- Rockwood Thunder 15 Mizuno: 3rd place (previously qualified) 15 American- Rockwood Thunder 15 White: 3rd place 14 American- Rocket Thunder 14 White: 5th place 13 Open- Rocket Thunder 13 Mizuno: 3rd place (previously qualified) 13 USA- Rocket Thunder 13 Navy: 3rd place (qualifies USA)   Dynasty Volleyball from Kansas City, Kansas: 15 USA- Dynasty 15 Blue: 6th place 15 American- Dynasty 15 Gray: 9th place 14 Open- Dynasty 14 Black: 3rd (previously qualified) 14 USA- Dynasty 14 Blue: 5th place (previously qualified National) 13 Open- Dynasty 13 Black: 1st place (previously qualified)   Mizuno Northern Lights. The premiere hometown club did not disappoint and earned several bids, but chose to decline: 15 USA- M. Northern Lights 15-2: 2nd place (declined bid) 14 USA- M. Northern Lights 14-2: 8th place (declined bid) 14 Open- M. Northern Lights 14-1: 8th place 13 USA- M. Northern Lights 13-1: 2nd place (declined bid) -M. Northern Lights 13-2: 10th place   Madfrog Volleyball from Plano, Texas. 14 Open- Madfrog 14's National Blue: 2nd place (previously qualified) -Madfrog 14's National Black: 6th place 13 Open- Madfrog 13's National Blue: 5th place (previously qualified) 13 American- Madfrog 13's National Black: 2nd place   Crossfire Volleyball located in Champlin, MN: 15 American- Crossfire MN 15-1: 1st place (declined bid) 14 American- Crossfire MN 14-1: 1st place (declined bid)   This coming weekend is sure to be just as action packed as the other age groups get their chance to earn a bid. Competition is set: 11 National 12 National, 12 American 16 Open, 16 USA, 16 American 17 Open, 17 USA, 17 American 18 Elite (non qualifying division)
