This series of posts will break down the list into specific groups with focus upon a few athletes that have landed among that portion of the rankings. As many of these athletes are slated to compete for some of the best clubs that Minnesota has to offer, we can bet that their stock will continue to rise. Here are a few athletes from Prep Dig’s class of 2020 rankings rated within 26-50:
Mia Schnaible

Marshall | 2020
State
MN
– 5’4 | L/DS | Marshall HS | SWMNVB 18-1 | Prep Dig #26
Schnaible has great ball control instincts and commands the floor from the libero role very well both offensively and defensively. A Big South all-conference selection, she has good vision, balance, and patience that helps her cover a lot of the court at only 5’4. She understands platform angles well and often keeps her team in system, which for Marshall was a huge piece regarding their state tournament run to a runner-up finish in Class AA. They have a lot of offensive weapons and Schnaible’s ball control allowed for a balanced offensive attack.
Logan Sherman

Marshall | 2020
State
MN
– 6’0 | S/RS | Marshall HS | SWMNVB 17-1 | Prep Dig #29
With good size and length, Sherman has some versatility to her game as a setter and right side attacker. A bit raw in her game overall, she helped guide Marshall to a very successful high school season in 2018, earning her Big South all-conference honors. She has good vision as an attacker and can move the ball around based upon what the block is giving her. With some increased footwork and balance, the deceptiveness in her setting will increase as she grows the ability to deliver to each location with consistent body position and mechanics.
Lydia Lange

Caledonia | 2020
State
MN
– 6’1 | MH/OH | Caledonia HS | V-Hawk Xtreme | Prep Dig #34
A 1st team all-state selection for Class A, she has a heavy arm and can bring the heat. Was a primary point scorer for Caledonia on the left side but has the versatility to attack from multiple locations across the net. With some increased attention to her ball control, both offensively and defensively, she could eventually develop into a high level six-rotation athlete and capitalize on her arm that can score from the front or back row.
Sarah Luong

Benilde-St. Margaret | 2020
State
MN
– 5’8 | S | Benilde-St. Margaret’s | Mizuno M1 18-1 | Prep Dig #40
A Metro West all-conference selection, Luong is a savvy setter with great touch and location. She can push the ball cross court and set all locations from pin to pin with consistent movement and delivery, laying the ball up there nicely and according to what her hitters need. With improved patience and footwork to pursue the ball her composure will become even steadier, which will increase her deception and against-flow effectiveness. At 5’8 she may be considered undersized but she is athletic enough to develop her explosiveness and get her elbows above the net consistently to be a more effective blocker.
Makayla Snow

BOLD | 2020
State
MN
– 5’10 | S | BOLD HS | Kandi Elite | Prep Dig #42
Athletic and offensive minded, two attributes that make Snow a great prospect. She continues to develop her touch and location, which when combined with her athleticism, will make her a great addition for a next-level program. She elevates well and has developed some keen deception as an offensive setter. Just as she can score points off of her own arm, she also is developing into a good blocker with her vision and ability to get her hands over the net quickly. She is an athlete that continues to make big gains the more experience she gets and could certainly be one of the biggest “stock risers” this club season. She is a West Central all-conference selection for 2018.
