AVCA All-Region 5 Team features 15 Kentucky athletes

<p>Kentucky continues to boast some of the top prep volleyball players in the nation. The 2019 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) High School All-Region 5 Team features 15 Kentucky athletes.</p> <p>The latest AVCA High School All-Region 5 Team was announced on Wednesday. Region 5 is made up of the following states: Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and West Virginia. </p> <p>A total of 10 regions represent the 50 states. The number of athletes on each All-Region team is determined by the number of Under Armour All-America nominations each region receives. The top 50 percent of nominated athletes according to the AVCA regional committees are the athletes who are named All-Region. The All-Region team includes the athletes named to the First Team, Second Team Third Team, and Honorable Mention in each Region.
