The 2024 class features some TALL players, but they also come with counterparts that will compliment each other in programs for the next four years. We have a lot of TALL players so be watching for part 2!

NORRIS

The Norris Titans return a plethora of experience but add three freshmen to their varsity roster this fall. After a 27-10 record and a state semifinal appearance in 2019, the Titans should have lofty goals this season. The Titans started the season Thursday evening playing in Jamboree games against Seward and Lincoln Southwest. Fans could view live coverage on the Norris Volleyball YouTube channel.

Yes! Celia is all of 6’3! Although she didn’t see time during their Jamboree game, she will be a vital key to the future of the Titans.

Coach Christina Boesiger comments, “We are really excited about our returning varsity team members. Most of them have been starters on varsity since their freshmen year. We also have some very talented new players who are joining our team and will be competing for playing time. We have versatile players who can play many front row positions to give us some different options.”

Coach Boesiger on the freshman, “Celia is going to be a force down the road. She has an extremely long frame, very coachable, and works very hard. This will be a huge learning year for her training behind Kalli (Kalli Kroeker) and Bri ([player_tooltip player_id="82567" first="Brianna" last="Stai"]). Right now we are working on a faster tempo with her. She will be a middle on our JV team, but practice with the varsity each day to help train at a higher level.”

Coach Christina Boesiger comments, “Liv Hausmann is a baller. She is competing for a DS spot on varsity. She sets for her club team as well. Very athletic and great vb IQ.”

NORFOLK CATHOLIC

With a 23-7 record and a Class C-1 state qualifier in 2019, Norfolk Catholic moves down to Class C2 this season and looks to compete for a spot at the top of the rankings.

⇒[player_tooltip player_id="104999" first="Avery" last="Yosten"] | ⇒6’1⇐ | MH | Norfolk Catholic
Coach Michaela Bellar on Avery, “Excited to see how Avery contributes to our team this season. She puts up a big block and is an aggressive attacker.”

⇒[player_tooltip player_id="104998" first="Alli" last="Brungardt"] | 5’6 | OH | Norfolk Catholic
Remember that commercial of the Olympic bobsledder during championship play on NET? Yes, that would be Alli’s cousin Nicole Brungardt, 2008 Norfolk Catholic graduate! A bit of athleticism in the family!

Coach Bellar comments, “Excited to see how All contributes to our team this year. She can play all the way around.
