Nebraska Prep Dig Top 250: Setters from Court 2!

<p>I was so impressed with the players that I watched at the Nebraska Prep Dig Top 250 this weekend!  I sensed the excitement building as soon as I walked in the door.  So many really highly respected athletes all in one place...it was impressive.  I have missed the sounds of a full gym this year during our times we were not allowed to play and I am thankful we all had an opportunity to evaluate and enjoy our time in the gym today.   Let’s talk about the setters I saw on court two this morning.</p> [caption id="attachment_119056" align="alignleft" width="150"]<img class="size-thumbnail wp-image-119056" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pd/uploads/2020/12/Sydney-Conner-1-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" /> Sydney Conner, 2022, S, Kearney Catholic.[/caption] <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>25 - Sydney Conner (2022, S, Kearney Catholic)</strong></span></p> <p>Sydney is a 5'11" setter from Kearney Catholic has great blocking skills, good hits, great communication, and can set anyone on the court with skill.  She is even-handed and makes really smart choices as well, setting up any team she is on for success. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> [caption id="attachment_118997" align="alignright" width="150"]<img class="size-thumbnail wp-image-118997" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pd/uploads/2020/12/Meghan-Gallagher-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" /> Meghan Gallagher, 2022, S, Mercy High School.[/caption] <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>43 - Meghan Gallagher (2022, S, Mercy High School)</strong></span></p> <p>Meghan is a 5'5" setter from Mercy High School with 7 kills, 22 aces with an 87.9% serve efficiency, 1.2 DPS, and 3.8 APS.  My notes say she is good in the DS spot as well.  She was scrappy and fast to the ball, not often letting it get to the floor.  She has soft hands and can really set far across the court.  She has nice power behind her sets and they are fast, giving the athletic hitter an opportunity to beat the block.  She worked well with her teammates on Sunday and really seemed to meld her skills into whatever group she played with.</p> [caption id="attachment_119053" align="alignleft" width="150"]<img class="size-thumbnail wp-image-119053" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pd/uploads/2020/12/Olivia-Poppert-1-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" /> [player_tooltip player_id="37562" first="Olivia" last="Poppert"], 2022, S, St. Paul High School.[/caption] <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>93 - [player_tooltip player_id="37562" first="Olivia" last="Poppert"] (2022, S, St.Paul High School)</strong></span></p> <p>Olivia is a 6' setter from St. Paul High School, runner-up in Class C1 Nebraska State Volleyball Tournament.
