2021 Recruiting Commitment Updates Vol 8

<p>The offers for our wonderful Texas players keep coming.  We love to see the pictures and news of these players as they are achieving their dreams. We are proud to announce some news from the recruiting front.  There are three more players who have just committed to college volleyball programs recently and we would like to share the news.  These young ladies have been hard at work during the high school volleyball season and have been also hard at work on the recruiting scene getting offers from schools and have made their decisions.  Help us in congratulating them on the amazing news. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Jackie McGee [2021] 5-9 Outside/Middle (HS: Deer Park/Club: Houston Stellar/Verbal: Southeastern Louisiana {Beach})</strong></p> <p>Jackie is currently unranked in the 2021 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings.  She is a talented dual sport athlete from Deer Park High School in the outskirts of Houston.  She also plays for a great club program in Houston Stellar.  We are proud to announce that she has just committed to play beach volleyball for Southeastern Louisiana.  She is one of the many players who have excelled in both indoor volleyball and beach volleyball.  I always say that no one truly understands how hard it is to play both really well.  Beach volleyball is very different from the indoor sport that shares its name. Players like Jackie make it look very easy.  She shows a great understanding of offensive ball placement as she moves the ball all around the court with purpose to score in the sand.  Her strong serving skills standout as she moves the ball both short and deep to keep her opponents off-balance.  Her ability to hit deep and also incorporate an off-speed/short game in her game-plan showcases well for her and her partner as they battle top competition in the beach circuit.  She will definitely be an immediate impact player for Southeastern Louisiana once she steps on campus next year.  Please help us congratulate her on her achievement. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Julissa Casas </strong><strong>[2021] 5-6 Libero (HS: Lee/Club: Top Gun Volleyball/Verbal: Our Lady of the Lake University)</strong></p> <p>Miss Casas is currently an unranked prospect according to our Prep Dig State Rankings list but that could change once we update the list in a few months.  She is a star libero on her Lee High School squad.  During her senior season at Lee she was able to amass 288 digs, 233 service receptions, and 13 aces.  She is an excellent serve receive passer and routinely passes nails to her setter to keep the offense in system.  What stands out in her play is her super soft touch on hard driven balls along with her amazing hitter coverage.  She is always active on the coverage front and keeps her team in the rally if her teammate gets blocked.  She is not afraid to get on the floor and sacrifice her body to keep the ball in play. She is very fun to watch in the back row.  We are proud to announce that she just recently committed to Our Lady of the Lake University and will do wonders for their program the moment she steps on the court next year.  We are extremely proud of her choice to realize her dream of playing volleyball at the next level.  Please help us congratulate her on her accomplishment. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Arden Cantwell [2021] 5-9 Outside/Defensive Specialist (HS: SA Johnson/Club: SA Force/Verbal: Our Lady of the Lake University)</strong></p> <p>Miss Cantwell is currently an unranked prospect in the 2021 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She is a great all around player from the San Antonio area.  She plays for a great club program in San Antonio Force. Arden is mainly an outside hitter but also plays defensive specialist.  She is also a talented beach player where she shows off her versatility as an all around player.  She shows great ball control in the back row with a solid platform and a soft contact. She is a solid addition to the OLLU program and will join her sister who is already on their roster.  We are excited that she made her college choice recently.  She will suit up for Our Lady of the Lake next year and will impact their program immediately when she arrives on campus next year.  Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dream of playing volleyball at the next level. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>There are many more amazing players that are getting offers.  Stay tuned for more articles on your favorite athletes to see where they end up.  If you have anyone you think we should watch out for, please shoot me an email with some info at nov8vb@yahoo.com.  Also don’t forget to help these kids get more exposure by sharing our stories with your friends.  Help us help them by simply retweeting on Twitter or sharing on Facebook.  Thanks for following Texas Family!</p>
