Players to Watch
Alex Besteman – Outside Hitter/Middle Blocker – HS: Interlake – 2024
Alex Besteman’s versatility is probably her main asset as a volleyball player. Capable of playing in all three positions at the net, she used that skill to get considerable playing time with her strong high school team Interlake in her freshman year. Besteman did well in the opportunities she had, leading the team in blocks and ranking fourth in kills.
Ella Pruehs – Setter – 2024
Ella Pruehs has big responsibilities as Seattle Jrs 15’s setter and she responds well to the task despite being one of the youngest players in the team with her well-rounded game. The setter has a good touch on the ball and great feeling for the game but also brings other strengths to the game such as her serving and her defensive game.
Lucia Zinsmeyer – Libero – 2024
The diminutive Lucia Zinsmeyer plays well above her size to help Seattle Jrs 15 succeed. The defender takes care of backcourt duties really well and her strong passing and digging skills not only are pivotal to the team’s playing system but also make her teammates better.
