The team from the high school located in Central Washington succeeded in the nearby Yakima Valley SunDome by defeating the Lynden Christian Lyncs in straight sets (25-12, 25-23, 25-21) in the final.
The Lady Mountain Goats strongly relied in their solid core of junior outside hitter Olivia Strandberg, senior setter Ally Williams and senior libero Morgyn Harrison to cruise past their opponents in Yakima.
Third-place match
The Meridian Trojans were third in the State Championship with their 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-18) win over the Annie Wright Gators. Some of the team’s top players this season were senior setter Malaysia Smith and senior outside hitters Finnley Claeys and Jolena Hoefer.
Fifth-place match
The Freeman Scotties ended the season as the fifth-best team in the division after their 3-1 (25-22, 21-25, 25-23, 25-21) triumph over the Lakeside Eagles. Senior middle blocker Ashley Boswell and junior libero Olivia Campbell were among the team’s most important players.
Seventh-place match
A Charles Wright team led by the Piasecki sisters Kate (senior, setter) and Natalie (sophomore, right sider) and junior middle blocker Emma Wang finished seventh following a 3-1 (25-16, 19-25, 25-13, 25-17) triumph over Seattle Academy.
