The Rapids had familiar opponents across the net the State Championship match in 2A Greater St. Helens District rivals Ridgefield and beat the Spudders for the third time in the season, this time in four sets (25-23, 25-16, 20-25, 25-23), at the Yakima Valley SunDome to triumph.
Seeded first heading to the State Championship, Columbia River confirmed their rankings thanks to senior outside hitter Rylie Reeves Rylie Reeves 5'11" | OH Columbia River | 2022 WA , who produced a team-high 15 kills, and sophomore outside hitter Lauren Dreves, who came up big near the end of the match.
Third-place match
The Steilacoom Sentinels came out on top of a grueling five-set (25-20, 25-14, 20-25, 16-25, 15-11) battle with the Burlington-Edison Tigers to finish in the top three.
Fifth-place match
Fifth-place in the Evergreen State went to the White Rivers Hornets as the team from Buckley overcame the Anacortes Seahawks in straight sets (25-23, 31-29, 25-20).
Seventh-place match
Mark Morris was seventh after they took care of the Enumclaw Hornets in four sets (25-23, 25-18, 22-25, 25-17).
