The team ended the season on top after their 3-1 (25-11, 25-16, 21-25, 25-23) State Championship match victory over Peninsula at the Yakima Valley SunDome. Seeded fourth in the division, the Panthers end the season with a 20-2 win record.
Senior outside hitter Mia Tunison led the team’s offense with ten kills. Middle blockers Danikah Johnson (junior) and Emily Hutchinson Emily Hutchinson 6'2" | MB Mead | 2022 WA both did a great job at the net with seven and six blocks, respectively.
Third-place match
The Ferndale Golden Eagles had a clean sweep (25-19, 25-23, 25-23) of the Auburn Riverside Ravens to finish third in Yakima.
Fifth-place match
The Mt. Spokane Wildcats were fifth after they came from behind to prevail over the Arlington Eagles in four sets (22-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-17). Senior outside hitter Teila Allen Teila Allen 5'10" | OH Mt. Spokane | 2022 WA was the name of the match, with 20 kills, 18 digs and four aces to her name.
Seventh-place match
The seventh-place went to the Kelso Hilanders, who took down Bishop Blanchet in three (26-24, 27-25, 25-12).
