Continue ReadingThey were eager, excited, and extremely talented. The Class of 2025 did not mess around when it came to the Indiana Top 250 where over 100 athletes from the Class of 2022-2025 came to compete. The tone always changes when athletes go from their 14s to 15s year. The recruiting process begins, the teams continue to really improve and the events are that much deeper. If Sunday was any indication as to what we could see in 2022 for the 15s, we will be in for a real treat with the Class of 2025.

Grace Bordenet – Boiler Juniors
Sophia Nowacki Sophia Nowacki 5'8" | DS/L Hammond Bishop Noll | 2025 State IN – Epic
Extremely skilled, great composure, and well trained. These setters and liberos knew how to contribute to what might have been one of their first showcase experiences. Playing with athletes they didn’t necessarily know. It can be awkward and frustrating, but the energy was very evident with this group. Molly Beatty Molly Beatty 6'0" | S Herron | 2025 State #128 Nation IN out of Munciana Indy is a 5’10 setter who has great foot and a smooth release and had great command of her court. Sofia Windmiller Sofia Windmiller 5'9" | S Danville | 2025 State IN from Boiler Juniors has plenty of athleticism and length where she was able to be offensive, throwing it down inside the ten footline and putting up a solid block as well. She connected extremely well with teammate Stella Terpening Stella Terpening 6'2" | MB Westfield | 2025 State IN on the slide which was so fun to watch. Cherry, Bordenet, and Nowacki were efficient with their movement
Middle Blocker
Ava Gutt Ava Gutt 5'11" | MB Hamilton Southeastern | 2025 State IN – Munciana Indy
Stella Terpening Stella Terpening 6'2" | MB Westfield | 2025 State IN – Boiler Juniors
Harper Holden Harper Holden 6'0" | MB Greenfield Central | 2025 State IN – Academy
All of these middle blockers had something a little bit different to contribute. Gutt always seemed to hit it square. She was extremely active on the net and was able to be on the court with her setter from Munciana Indy in Molly Beatty Molly Beatty 6'0" | S Herron | 2025 State #128 Nation IN . The two had a really solid connection allowing Gutt to really swing away. Terpening was one of the top middles I in the Class of 2025 that I saw between Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana. At 6’2, long, athletic, and deer like jumping ability she was lethal on the slide. For someone heading into the 15s year and being able to run down a slide like she does is very rare. She has a raw athleticism that will be fun to watch develop over the club season. Holden was smart and savvy with her shots she was able to hit. She knew when to swing, when to tip, and where the open spots would be. A showcase setting can be difficult for a middle when they are working with setters they may not be accustomed to, but these three really showed how they can play.
Battle at the net with these 2025’s.

Sophia Pelton Sophia Pelton 5'9" | OH Hammond Bishop Noll | 2025 State IN – Epic
Grace Isakson Grace Isakson 5'8" | OH North Central | 2025 State IN – Academy
Kendall Brookbank Kendall Brookbank 5'9" | OH Perry Meridian | 2025 State IN – Academy
Trinity Parkin Trinity Parkin 6'0" | OH Sheridan | 2025 State IN – Academy
Ashlyn Turner Ashlyn Turner 5'10" | OH Shelbyville | 2025 State IN – Circle City
What I loved most about these outside hitters is that there was no fear in their swing. They approached aggressively, and just took a rip. I know that tipping is part of the game, but when the set is there….let it fly. For the younger players, coming up, playing aggressively is something that coaches want to see, there will be misses, but good things come from athletes who swing with an aggressive mindset. Taylor Cripe Taylor Cripe 5'10" | OH South Newton | 2025 State IN was a big time standout among these outsides. The 5’9 outside hitter from Boiler Juniors was fast to to the ball and is one of those players where it “sounds different”, she was also a solid presence in the backrow with her serve receive. After seeing these 2025s compete, the Boiler Juniors 15 Gold squad should be one to watch heading into 2022.
