The newly formed Chaos Volleyball Club has become a home for many top athletes living in the SE Portland area. A lot of the athletes playing for Chaos once had to commute out to Beaverton, Salem, or West Linn, but can now compete for a club much closer to home. Practicing out of Gresham, OR, the Chaos 18 Elite team boasts quite the roster of athletes. Head coached by director Nerisa Laban and her daughter Matalasi Laban, the mother-daughter duo has the opportunity to cement the legacy of Chaos Volleyball Club with this team.

FRONT ROW

Their front row bolsters a lot of size and power, especially at the pins. On the outside, they are returning [player_tooltip player_id="91327" first="Kalista" last="Lukovich"] {Pictured}, who took on the brunt of the offensive load for the Chaos 17 National team last season. While she will no doubt still be a pivotal part of the offense for Chaos, they have added [player_tooltip player_id="91253" first="Leah" last="Agost"], a recent Bushnell commit and a stud for Clackamas High School. Both of these hitters are 6’0”+. On the right side, are two of the most dominant lefties in the 2022 class: [player_tooltip player_id="91265" first="Makayla" last="Roginski"] and [player_tooltip player_id="171729" first="Ava" last="Sculli"]. Roginski was just honored with Mt. Hood Conference Player of the Year, Mt. Hood First Team All-League, and 6A Second Team All-State. These four pin hitters alone bring tons of offensive power and will be putting up quite the block. In the middle are athletes [player_tooltip player_id="164249" first="Maddy" last="Abraham"] (Nelson) and [player_tooltip player_id="91287" first="Jessie" last="Matthews"] (Barlow).

BACK ROW

The primary libero spot for Chaos 18 Elite is still up for grabs. Currently in the running are [player_tooltip player_id="91246" first="Kayla" last="Sheasby"], from Hood River Valley High School. Sheasby suited up as the primary libero for the Eagles and was awarded Intermountain Conference Honorable Mention this past season. Also senior Chloe Voytilla, from Clackamas High School, who spent the high school season as the Cavaliers libero. She received Mt. Hood Second Team All-League for her play. Lastly, sophomore superstar defensive specialist [player_tooltip player_id="126046" first="Angie" last="Acosta"] has been playing up to the 18U level this season. After coming off an incredible season with the David Douglas High School Scots as their primary libero she was awarded Mt. Hood First Team All-League, so she may see court time as a libero as well.
