Hood Conference First-Team honors for her excellent play as the team’s libero, Acosta will undoubtedly be instrumental in commanding her team’s back row this club season. The Chaos 18-1 defensive player is quick on defense and manages to pick up balls that many others can’t get to. On serve receive, Acosta shines, using her discipline and solid technique to consistently put up great passes to her setter.

Acosta has been a major impact player for David Douglas over the past three years, where she has led her team to some impressive wins after the Scots suffered several years of setbacks. As the team’s primary libero, Acosta received Mt. Hood First Team All-League accolades thanks to her steady serve receive and defense. During the club season, Acosta showed off her incredible discipline and speed in the back row on the Chaos 18-1 team, and she continued to develop her offensive play to score points off back row attacks when possible. Acosta is entering her senior year ready to dominate for the Scots one last time.

As the lone returner to the Chaos 18-1 team, Acosta has taken the reins as their primary libero. While she saw a fair amount of court time last season, splitting libero duties, all eyes are on her this year. Anchoring their backrow, she shines on serve receive, incredibly disciplined, she is able to keep the team in system consistently. On defense, she is very speedy and athletic, making impressive moves to stay in the rally.
