We’ll constantly use this space during the club season to highlight the top performers and this week we’ve featured some of the 16s teams in the Evergreen State that are up to a promising start of the season. Here is our final piece.
SNVF 16 White
The team from the Space Needle Volleyball Foundation located in Mukilteo started the season on fire, taking first place in the Jingle Ball Battle in December. SNVF 16 White followed it up with a fifth-place finish at the PAC NW Series #1 | MLK Winter Spike Invitational and ranked 13th in the Puget Sound Region Power League, amassing a 12-4 win record for the season.
Players to Watch:
Anna Dantas – Outside Hitter – HS: Marysville-Pilchuck – 2024
A 5’9” outside hitter, Anna Dantas stands out for her offensive game. She can not only hit the ball hard but is the type of player who grows in important moments of the match, being a very interesting scoring option for her teams. Dantas can also play defense and has a tough jump serve, which puts often puts opponents in trouble. She spent some time playing as a middle blocker during the last high school season and is now able of helping in that position too if needed.
Megan Omlid – Setter – HS: Lakewood – 2025
Megan Omlid is another SNVF 16 White prospect who’s experimenting with positions in the early period of her career. The 5’7” player helped her team Lakewood in the middle in the high school season but is now playing setter in the club season. In either position, she benefits from her long arms, good reading of the game and excellent body control. Omlid is also a very good blocker.
Lucy Cornelius – Outside Hitter – HS: Glacier Peak – 2025
Lucy Cornelius’ main attribute as a volleyball player right now is her defense. The 5’7” prospect has excellent ball control and does a great job with her positioning as she’s often in the right place to keep the ball in play. She was mostly used as a setter for Glacier Peak in her freshman season in high school but is contributing for SNVF 16 White at the pin.
